Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take? We ship directly from our bakery in St. Louis. Most orders arrive within 2–5 business days depending on your location. We aim to fulfill same-day but always by the next business day.
Do you offer free shipping? Yes — free shipping on every order, anywhere in the continental U.S. No minimum required.
Can I schedule my ship date? Yes. You can select a specific ship date at checkout — your cookies will leave our bakery on that date. Note that Saturday and Sunday orders ship on Monday.
Do you ship outside the U.S.? Not at this time. We ship to all 50 states within the continental U.S.
Freshness & Storage
How fresh are the cookies when they arrive? Every order is baked fresh before it ships. Cookies are at their best within the first week but stay crispy and delicious for up to 2 weeks at room temperature.
Can I freeze them? Yes — Dad's cookies freeze exceptionally well. Put them straight in the freezer and they'll taste like they just came out of the oven when you thaw them. Good for up to 3 months.
How should I store them? Room temperature in a sealed bag or container. Keep them out of humidity and they'll stay crispy. Don't refrigerate — it softens them.
Orders & Gifting
Can I include a personalized message? Yes — every order includes a free personalized gift message. Add your message at checkout and we'll print it on a card and tuck it into an envelope inside the box. Limited to 350 characters.
Can you ship to multiple addresses in one order? For individual orders, each ships to one address. For bulk or corporate orders with multiple recipients, contact Mike at mike@dadscookies.com or 314-772-9089 and we'll coordinate the full list.
What's the difference between the box, tin, and bag? The bag is our classic storefront packaging — brown paper bag with white string, just like in-store. The tin is our classic keepsake tin, perfect for gifting. The box is our largest format — 3 or 5 pounds — ideal for families, offices, or serious cookie people.
Corporate & Bulk Orders
Do you do corporate gifting? Yes — it's one of our most popular offerings. We can ship personalized boxes or tins to individual recipients on your behalf, include your logo on the card, and accommodate orders of any size. See our corporate gifting page →
Is there a minimum for bulk orders? No formal minimum. We accommodate everything from a single gift to hundreds of recipients.
How far in advance should I place a bulk order? For orders of 25+ gifts, we recommend at least 5–7 business days lead time. For holiday seasons, 2–3 weeks is safer.
The Cookies
What makes the Original Scotch Oatmeal cookie different? It's crispy, not soft — made from a secret Scottish recipe that dates back to the early 1900s and hasn't changed once since we opened in 1927. There's nothing else quite like it. Read more about Scotch Oatmeal cookies →
Are there any allergens? Yes. Our cookies are manufactured in a facility that processes peanuts. Individual varieties contain wheat, soybean, milk, egg, and/or coconut depending on the flavor. Full ingredient and allergen information is listed on each product page.
Do you have gluten-free options? Not at this time. All of our cookies contain wheat flour.
